Born and raised here in San Diego, Mrs. Viani has been performing for over 35+ years. She has been choreographing shows since the age of 16, her first regional show at the age of 18, and since went on to work professionally in L.A. for Disneyland and for various TV shows/music videos, including performing on MTV and Soul Train. Mrs. Viani has trained under the tutelage of many highly acclaimed industry professionals, including choreographer/dancer Courtney Miller Jr. for whom choreographed many of Michael Jackson's concerts including the AMA 's "Dangerous" routine and also toured with Michael on his “History” tour. In addition, she has worked on many projects in collaboration with the choreographers for both Justin Timberlake and Missy Elliot. She taught hip hop at SDSU for 4 years and brought down numerous choreographers in the industry to assist in the education of the entertainment world to those whom wanted to go into the entertainment business. Some of Mrs. Viani’s accomplishments include: Disneyland's "Fantasmic!" nighttime spectacular as the Snow White Queen and also as a Standby performer (whose responsibilities included memorizing 52+ parts and performing whichever part at a moments notice) for 4 years, Hercules Parade- Hercules dancer, National Commercial's for Disneyland- featured dancer, plus numerous other private events. While busy with her professional dancing career, Mrs. Viani also pursued a solo singing/songwriting career and performed in such venues as Universal City and Las Vegas to promote her self titled album. Having been educated in music theory and piano playing for more than 10 years, songwriting came very naturally to Mrs. Viani. The year she was to open for Boyz to Men, Mrs. Viani met her husband and decided to temporarily retire from her professional performing career in order to return to school to obtain her teaching credential. Mrs. Viani now is married with a family, and is working full time as a teacher, and part-time choreographer/private instructor. She is thrilled to be joining Steele Canyon High School this year, and being involved in the visionary process of bringing SCHS’s dance team/dance program/choir and show choir program to another level of expertise. Mrs. Viani believes in passion, hard work, perseverance, discipline, but above all a deep rooted sense of motivation.
