5 Things...

1) English was not always my favorite subject, but it clearly is now.  :)

2) I love to travel.  I have been to 15 different countries (most with the People to People Student Ambassadors program), and hope to get to more someday.

3)  I can now say that I have been teaching for half my life. :)  Good thing I love what I do!

4) Photography is a passion of mine.

5) I love puzzles & mysteries!  (This might explain why I love teaching middle school - each student presents a new puzzle to tackle, a new mystery to figure out.)

Thank you PARENTS for filling out my surveys.  Your insights about your children are greatly appreciated!

Thought for the Day

Word Wise:  OMG - Nothing New, Really...

According to Dictionary.com, the first citation of the commonly used text-speak appeared in a 1917 letter from the British admiral John Arbuthnot Fisher to Winston Churchill.  He wrote, "I hear that a new order of Knighthood is on the tapis - O.M.G. (Oh! My God!) - Shower it on the Admiralty!!"  Fisher was 76 at the time.
