Homework in Math Class
Practicing new skills is essential to gaining fluency in mathematics. Every week learners are asked to choose a skill or concept that they want to practice and spend one hour practicing it. They will be asked to submit their goal, their accomplishments, a statement about what they learned or observed and set a new goal each week. This homework will not be calculated as part of their "score" in math, but will be assessed as pass/fail and accounted for in their work habits on the progress reports.
Additional, scored, homework, may be: note-making, write-ups for math tasks, completing work not completed in class and math projects.
