Syllabus & Exercises

COMPLETE EXERCISE LIST NOW AVAILABLE.

There are many sections of Math 152. The order in which topics are covered, the rate at which they are covered, the precise times of examinations, and the assigned homework exercises may vary from section to section.

Some lecturers choose to give short quizzes to test your mastery of the material; quizzes may be announced or unannounced, and may/may not allow calculators, at the discretion of your instructor or TA.

There will also be workshop write-ups.  Please consult the Workshops Page for further information.

The exact timing and coverage of exams during the semester will be announced by each lecturer, as will the homeworks/quizzes. The timeline and problems listed below are suggestions. Optional sections are in parentheses (e.g. Section 6.5) and will be covered at the discretion of your instructor and your TA.  The material will not appear on the common final exam.

BLACK exercises are straightforward calculations and intended for daily practice.
RED exercises are not solely computational and serve to check basic theoretical understanding.

It is suggested that you complete 5-8 black exercises and 2-5 red exercises daily.
