Griffin & Kelly Named NFHS Coaches of the Year

Red Storm coaches Ron Kelly (Girls Outdoor Track & Field) and Tom Griffin (Softball) were both named the National Federation of High School Sports (NFHS) coaches of the year in their respective sports for the 2017-2018 school year. Coach Kelly has been a member of the Red Storm staff for 46 years, in his time as the girls outdoor track & field coach he has won seven girls outdoor track & field SMAA league championships and 10 MPA State titles. Coach Griffin has been a member of the Red Storm coaching staff for 30 years, in his time the Storm have won 12 SMAA league championship including the past seven and he has led the softball squad to seven MPA state championship.

Both coaches have dedicated valuable time to teaching hundreds of student-athlete valuable life lessons through their respective sports. Their dedication to hard work to the not only Scarborough Public Schools but the State of Maine has not gone unnoticed. Thank you for your continued dedication to the Red Storm Family!!!!!!!!
