Mission StatementDepartment of Transportation statistics clearly show an increase in drug and alcohol related teenage deaths on the night of High School graduation. Scarborough Project Graduation offers an adult supervised, drug and alcohol free graduation celebration to all graduating seniors in efforts to keep teenagers in a safe environment and off the roads. It is our mission to ensure the well-being of Scarborough’s graduating seniors and prevent them from becoming another tragic statistic.DescriptionScarborough Project Graduation is a non-profit, 501©(3) volunteer run organization which raises funds to provide a drug and alcohol free celebration for every graduating senior on the evening of graduation. The primary aims of Project Graduation activities are to increase awareness of the dangers of drinking, drugging and driving and to reduce the number of youth-involved alcohol and other drug-related incidents. Project Graduation is much more than an event that occurs on graduation night. It is a community-wide process that strives to create a caring, supportive and safe environment between youths and adults. It is an opportunity for the community to give our graduating seniors a wonderful memory, build a tradition for underclassmen and give each member of our school an opportunity to pursue their future, all at the same time. Goal![]() In order to keep this tradition free to graduating seniors, an estimated $30,000 must be raised per year. No donation is too small. Donations are tax-deductible. Your support and involvement will make sure graduation night is a time to celebrate not a time to grieve. |
