The Pine Tree State Pledge

The University of Maine at Augusta is committed to providing affordable access to a university education, and helping students manage the growing costs of a college education. Beginning with spring semester 2018, new in-state full-time and part-time transfer students who have earned at least 30 transferable credits, and are new to the University of Maine System will not pay any out-of-pocket expenses for tuition and mandatory fees. In academic year 2018-19, the Pine Tree Pledge will also be available to qualified and eligible entering full-time, first-year students. `Want to learn more and determine eligibility? Our Fall 2017 print course catalog will be arriving in Scarborough homes, POS and businesses the last week of August. Additional print copies can be obtained at that time at: 1) Scarborough High School front office, once school opens, 2) Scarborough Adult Learning Center, Room A100, Scarborough High School, M-TH 1-6pm, 3) Scarborough Public Schools, Central Office, 3rd floor, Scarborough Town Hall, and 4) Scarborough Public Library.

Our Winter-Spring 2017 classes are now posted online. Go to http://scarborough.maineadulted.org or maineadulted.org to browse classes, register and pay online. We offer adult vocational, academic, college transition, ELL, and non-credit enrichment programming...something for everyone!

Or if you prefer, our Winter-Spring 2017 print catalog is arriving at Scarborough homes, businesses and POS this week and next. Additional copies can also be found at Scarborough High School, our adult ed office in room A100 of Scarborough High, the Scarborough Public Library, and the lobby or the 3rd floor Scarborough Public Schools office in the Scarborough Municipal Building.

CNA Info Night Oct 26th

Join us Wed Oct 26, 6:00 at Scarborough High, to learn about our upcoming CNA program, as we partner with Piper Shores. Program due to start Nov 15, 2016, with classroom time at Piper Shores three days per week, 3:00 to 9:00 pm, and clinicals starting there during week five. Cost is $1,000. Participants must have high school credential, pass CASAS reading test, and submit completed application asap, preferably at Info Night. Exact program schedule to be shard and CASAS test available to those who need it, at Info Night.
