My name is Al Fitch.  I have been employed by the Stroudsburg Area School District for nineteen years.  I have taught first grade for the last eighteen years. In addition, I have had opportunities to work with third and fourth grade students during the  School District’s After School Program and Summer Academy.   I have worked with the district’s incoming Kindergarten students to increase their readiness for school. During my time working for Stroudsburg, I have had the opportunity to serve on several committees, including math and language arts curriculum writing, the district’s Accreditation for Growth initiative, and I am currently an active member of Arlington’s leadership committee.  My experience has allowed me to work with a diverse population of students, such as students with disabilities and students who are English language learners. I continue to enjoy working with the students of the Stroudsburg School District and serving the community of Stroudsburg.
