Residents of Mount Washington Valley may have noticed signs in Conway Village noting the lane closure for the bridge on Route 16 over the Saco River. All northbound traffic will be rerouted beginning March 1st. The bridge will be open one way to southbound traffic only. Northbound traffic will be rerouted via Rt 113 through Center Conway or West Side Rd & the Covered Bridge. While there are only a few bus routes that will be greatly impacted, we could see delays with all school bus transportation.
The current bus routes that will see the most impact will be to families and students living north of the Rt. 16 Bridge in Conway at the following bus stops: Benson’s Trailer Park, Lamplighter Park, Lock Shop Loop, Poliquin Drive, Conway Pines and any stops in between. Those route adjustments are listed below for Kennett Middle, Kennett High and Conway Elementary School students. We will continue with these route adjustments until the end of the 2016/2017 school year. As always, we will do our best to get students to and from school as safely and efficiently as possible. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
Information is also available online at www.sau9.org. For any questions or concerns, please contact SAU9 Transportation Coordinator, Gredel Shaw at 447-3626.
