Monday 5/22:

WHITE BB & BLACK SB  home Vs Inter Lakes – 4pm

 

Tuesday 5/23:**Philly Trip for 8th graders. Any 8th grade BB or SB player staying behind is expected to attend White games & practices

 White BB & SB 2:30-4:30 unless otherwise indicated by Coaches

 

Wednesday 5/24:

 White BB & SB 2:30-4:30 unless otherwise indicated by Coaches

 

Thursday 5/25: 

White BB & SB AWAY @ KA Brett – There will be no early dismissal – Bus will depart after regular buses depart at 2:45

 

Friday 5/26:

White BB & SB 2:30-4:30 unless otherwise indicated by Coaches


Monday 5/29: NO SCHOOL


Tuesday 5/30:

Black BB & SB AWAY @ Kingwood – 4pm.  Please dismiss students at 2:00 for a 2:15 departure

White BB & SB Home Vs Kingswood  – 3:30pm. 


Wednesday 5/31:

WHITE SB & BLACK BB  Home Vs Bartlett – 4pm

 

Thursday 6/1: MWV 8th Grade Round Robin & Cookout

8th grade softball & baseball players will participate in this yearly tradition with KA Brett School & Bartlett Middle School.  Games will begin at 3pm, including a cookout for all players and parents.  There is no rain date. 

 

Friday 6/2:

Black BB & SB HOME *doubleheader* Vs Lancaster – 3:30pm. 2 5-inning games will be played.

 

Monday 6/5: 

Black BB & SB AWAY @ Berlin – Please dismiss at 2:00 for a 2:15 departure

White BB & SB HOME *doubleheader* vs Berlin –  3:30pm. 2 5-inning games will be played.

Last Day for Box Tops

KMS Families: The last boxtop collection day of the school year will be Friday, May 26, 2017 to benefit the Class os 2022 Philadelphia Trip in 2018. Keep collecting your boxtops (only exp date 11/1/17 or after) all summer as another collection will take place during back to school season! Welcome Stacy Petell as your new Boxtops Coordinator for 2017-2018! Thanks! This year KMS received $576.00 from Boxtop Collection and many students were able to earn money towards their class trip. Great job!
 

Mandatory Philly Parent/Guardian/Student Meeting is Tonight!

The coming week is a busy one for Kennett Middle School and we wanted to send out a reminder of two upcoming events. First, tonight is the 8th grade Mandatory Parent Meeting for the Philly trip. If your 8th grade student is going on the trip this mandatory meeting begins at 6:30 pm in the gym. If your child requires medication during the trip you must bring it to this meeting. All medical paperwork should be completed beforehand. Forms need to be notarized, doing so beforehand will save you time that evening. We will have a notary available if needed.Displaying

HOME Track & Field Meet at KENNETT HIGH SCHOOL – 4pm.  This is the LAST home meet of the Spring season.   Bus will leave right after school and will not be returning to KMS.  Students should bring all belongings with them.

Thursday 5/11: 

Science Fair  - Students may be absent from practices due to finalist selection.

Black baseball & softball away at Lancaster has been postponed– make up date TBA    à  No practice softball today, black baseball will practice today in the gym 2:30-4:30.

 

White baseball & softball HOME vs KA Brett has been postponed – make up date TBA    à  No practice baseball/softball today.

 

No track practice today - Home meet tomorrow at KHS – bus leaves right after school and will be located by the football tower.

 

Kennett Middle School Student Council

The Kennett Middle School Student Council is organizing a school-wide Basket Raffle. We are asking students to donate items for a basket between now and April 5th. All students who contribute items to their team baskets will receive a free raffle ticket for a gift card basket valued at over $150.

Team One - Rainy Day Basket
Games, cards, card games, bowling gift certificates, dice, movies, candy, popcorn, iTunes gift card, Redbox gift card, cocoa and marshmallows, cozy blanket, play dough, books or book gift card.  
Team One - Ice Cream Sundae Basket
Cones, cone cups, sauces, sprinkles, candy (gummies, m&m's, etc.), nuts, ice cream scoop, dishes,  ice cream spoons, gift card for a grocery store/Walmart (for ice cream).

Team Two -Willy Wonka
Sweet tarts, Wonka Bars, Everlasting Gobstoppers, Spree, candy buttons, rainbow lollipops, golden eggs, mini gumball machines, any Wonka candy, "Willy Wonka & Choc. Factory" book or movie.

Team Three - Baking Basket
Brownie mix, cake mix, cookie mix, muffin mix, wooden spoons, oven mitts, measuring cups and spoons, cookie cutters, cupcake wrappers, recipes/cookbook

Team Three - Summer Fun Basket
Bubbles, towel, pail and shovel, sand toys, sunblock, Chap-stick, lemonade mix, sidewalk chalk, crossword puzzles, books, coloring supplies


Raffle tickets for team baskets will be on sale at KMS during lunches, before and after school from April 7th through lunch on April 14th. Tickets will cost $1/1 ticket or $5/6 tickets.
