The Northern New England Invitational was launched in 2016 with the mission of providing students in northern New England with access to inspiring and challenging experiences in STEM through Science Olympiad.   We are looking forward to expanding and developing our capacity to address this goal as a result of our new partnership with Dartmouth College.   The upcoming tournament will be held at Dartmouth in collaboration with the School of Graduate and Advanced Studies, with the support of Dartmouth faculty and students.  The tournament is made possible by the collaborative efforts of Dartmouth College and the Lebanon High School Science Olympiad teams.

    • Location: Dartmouth College is located in Hanover, New Hampshire.  The tournament will be held at the Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine and in the Class of 1978 Life Sciences Building.
    • Registration: Registration will open on September 1st, 2017 for all teams in Northern New England (Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire).  Registration will open for all other teams on September 15th, 2017.  Registration fees are $100 per team, but we will continue to offer free registration to any first-year teams in Northern New England who are new to Science Olympiad.  Registrations will be confirmed in the order they are received.
    • Rules:  All Science Olympiad policies and rules apply.  All teams must be registered with their state prior to competing at an Invitational, but may register for an Invitational at any time. Rules for teams and students can be found at www.soinc.org.  Rules for events are only available by registering with your state director.
    • Events: All 23 Division C events will be run at the tournament, including lab and engineering events, but trial events will not be included. The tournament this year is a Division C tournament only, but in order to continue to promote the development of Division B teams in New Hampshire, we will continue to invite New Hampshire Division B teams to participate in selected events as non-ranking competitors.  Please contact us for details.
    • Schedule: Our schedule will be based on the schedule of the National Tournament in order to minimize event conflicts.
Please don't hesitate to contact us with questions or suggestions about the tournament.
We hope your team has a great year!
