Reading Celebration Week
This has been an exciting week!
We have taken part in lots of fun and interesting activities to celebrate reading – we’ve dressed like animals, read each other’s t-shirts, admired each other’s wacky hair and hats, taken turns to “rock and read” in the hall, decorated our classroom door, enjoyed a visit from Lita Judge, wore our new Mt. Leb. t-shirts, listened to several guest readers, and, most importantly, – we’ve read, read, read all week long!
Today we had another Morning Sing dedicated to Reading, and we had a BATT (Books Are Terrific Treasures) Day. Everyone is bringing home a book they chose to add to their home library.
Thank you to everyone who donated to our classroom’s “Italian Night Dinner” Bloomin’ Basket for the PTO fundraiser. It is full of wonderful items and should attract a lot of attention at the raffle held during the Contra Dance on Friday, March 17th.
Our school is having an Open House on Wednesday, March 22, starting at 5:30. This is an opportunity for your children to show their work and the school to their families. We hope to see you there. (In the past, the Open House has been held in October but this year we decided to hold it later in the school year.)
