iPad Numbers: Now that each student in grades 1-5 has an iPad, feel free to assign slot numbers to students in whatever way works for you. You do not need to leave them in the alphabetical order that I put them in.

Xtra Math: If you are using the shortcut for XtraMath on the iPads, remember that when students open the shortcut it will look as though they need to re-enter all of their information. They do not need to enter everything again. Simply click "Sign In" towards the top right corner and the iPad should bring up the student name. And please remember that in order for a session of XtraMath to be complete, students need to work through until they see the "You are Done" message and then they need to tap "Sign Out" at the bottom of the screen.

Tech Spotlight: There is great technology already happening at BMS this year! Fourth grades are researching birds of prey using search sites that are safe for students. These sites can be found in BMS School Links on the iPads. Fifth grade has begun using Edmodo as a way of communicating and sharing assignments and information. PicCollage is being used in many classrooms as a way of displaying Hopes and Dreams.

Check This Out: Are you finding that your class is in need of short brain breaks this year? Try GoNoodle! GoNoodle is free (you do need to sign up) and provides short 1-3 minute brain break videos for students to follow. Choose a brain break from a variety of categories and display it on your Smartboard. This is a great way to get your class up and moving! The link to GoNoodle is in BMS School Links!
