BMS Honor Roll T1

Here is a copy of the grade scale and how it relates to traditional grades.  To meet the High Honor Roll requirements a student must have all 3.75 or 4.00 for grades.  Honor roll requirements are 3.0 and above for grades.  Congratulations to all of the students who met those requirements, you clearly worked hard and should be proud!

Veterans Assembly

Thank you to everyone that came to the Veteran's Day Assembly on Thursday, November 9, 2017.  
A special Thank you to Nick Brown, William Schultz, Sydney Jones and Michael Moniello for joining us from Dover High School Junior ROTC, who presented the colors.  The Barrington Boy Scout Troop 358 assisted by posting the colors.  

A big Thank you to Ingrid Dinter for a riveting keynote speech.

Last night, Gabby Hendershot presented her project on the history of education in Barrington. Gabby spoke very eloquently about the town of Barrington during her presentation. Gabby's project along with the Huddleston light from the old school building will be on display in our library. Way to go Gabby!!!!!

BMS Presents Jack Genakos - Drug & Alcohol Awareness Workshops

Barrington Middle School is offering a free adult “P.A.C.T. Course”. P.A.C.T. stands for Parents and Community Together.   There will be three sessions that are three Wednesdays in a row.  The dates are:

Wednesday March 7, 2017  6:00-7:30 PM

Wednesday March 14, 2017  6:00-7:30 PM

Wednesday March 21, 2017  6:00-7:30 PM

Jack is an experienced counselor in the area of substance use and abuse. He has so much information to share with parents, guardians, teachers, and any other adult who works with children.


The focal point for these sessions will be adolescent substance use and ways of preventing and identifying adolescent substance use. Jack will also provide specific information about a variety of resources for both parents/guardians. He will share resources that are meant specifically for our children.

Art News:

This year every 6th grade student took part in creating a circle painting to be part of a group mural in Ms. Sarni's art room. It was based on Kandinsky's painting Color Study-squares with concentric circles. Each student and each circle are completely unique!

Reading Stories:  A Listening Project

This is a school project involving seventh and eighth grade students from the Blue Team, and adults from the community who volunteered to share the stories of their reading lives.
