Book Project #1

Book Project #1: Fiction

Book project #1 requires you to first read a fictional book. What's fiction? Fictional books are imaginary stories--they aren't real! Fiction can be broken down into smaller genres such as realistic fiction, horror, historical fiction, mysteries, etc. For this project, all you will need to do is read a fiction book at your reading level (probably not a Dr. Seuss book) and then create your project. Luckily for you, you won't need to present these slideshows to the class this year. Instead, we'll just be posting the slideshows on our team website for other students to peruse at their convenience.

How do I get an A? Rubric

The Project:

For your first book project, you'll be tasked with acquiring a pizza box and decorating it with interesting, relevant information from the novel you choose to read. For an exact listing of literary information required to pass the summative, please see the book project rubric.

Pizza Cover

Decorate the cover of your pizza box as if it were your book cover.

Pizza

Your "pizza" is a circle divided into eighths that provides necessary information listed in the rubric.

Pizza Back

The back of your pizza box should have a labeled plot outline as well as a quick summary of your novel.
