Information for Seniors

Keep us informed of your post-high school plans and your college acceptances!



The senior survey is required in order to pick up your cap and gown for graduation. Complete it HERE and you're good to go!!





Scholarships will be posted throughout the year so you can work from any computer. If you want to reduce your out-of-pocket costs, complete as many scholarships as possible. Continue to check back frequently!

SHS Guidance and NHHEAF Programming for 2019-2020

College Representative visits - Throughout the fall in guidance.

Be sure to take advantage of visits from college reps. If you are interested, or even curious, about a specific school you won't want to miss them when they come to Spaulding. Not only will you learn about them, they will learn about you! Connection is a valuable tool for college admissions.

College Application OverviewThursday, Sept. 26th, 6pm in the Cafeteria.

This presentation educates high school seniors and their families about the college admission process. Topics to be discussed include: the qualifications colleges are looking for, application components, college essay pointers, the application timeline and basic financial aid overview. Attendees will receive our 2019-2020 College Insider.

UNH College Fair - Tuesday, October 8th, at UNH.

Meet admissions representatives from more than 200 colleges in an arena style setting. Deadline to register is Friday Sept. 19. Cost of transportation is $5. See your school counselor to register.

College Field Trips

Spend a day on a college campus to get a sense of what the school offers and the admissions requirements. To register for any college field trip, pick up a consent form in guidance and return it prior to the deadline. College field trips are free and lunch is provided.

Southern NH University: Wednesday, September 25th

UNH Discover : Friday, November 8th, 8:30-2pm (Priority given to first generation and multicultural students. See your school counselor for details.)


Understanding Financial AidWednesday, Oct. 23rd, 6pm in the cafeteria.

This presentation helps families navigate through the federal financial aid process. It will explore what type of additional aid is available, review scholarship searches and highlight the importance of meeting deadlines. Attendees will receive our Financial Aid Insider.

FAFSA Workshops - Thursday, November 14th and Wednesday, December 11th @ 5-7pm in the Library.

Representatives from UNH will offer personal and confidential assistance to help you fill out the FAFSA. Call Guidance (Ext. 5) to make an appointment. Seating is limited so reserve early.

Understanding the Financial Award Letter - Thursday, April 9th, 6:00 pm in the cafeteria

If you’ve got a student heading off to a college as a freshman for Fall 2018, this presentation is for you. We will discuss the components of the financial aid award package, including federal student loans, grants & scholarships. Additional funding/financing options will be discussed with a review of what repayment may mean to your family. All attendees will receive Funding Options handouts.

The College Experience: Straight Talk from the Inside - Friday January 3rd, B Block in the auditorium

Spaulding high school graduates return to discuss their college experiences in this interactive seminar.
