Morning Announcements

Good morning RMS. Today is Thursday November 15, 2018.

Are you a student athlete who has team spirit?  Do you like to tumble, jump, cheer and show your Timberwolf pride?  Do you like to compete?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, then you should try out for the RMS Winter Spirit Team!!  We are looking for boys and girls with major enthusiasm to join our team.  Guaranteed to be a lot of work but also guaranteed to be a lot of fun!!  Please join us for some pre-try out fun on 11/19 & 20 from 5:30-8 in the RMS gym.

Try outs will be 11/26,27 & 28th @ RMS 6-8 and you must attend all three try outs to be considered for the team as each day we will be looking at something new.

All students interested in playing intramural lacrosse are asked to pick up a permission slip from a physical education teacher.  Permission slips are due back by Monday, November 26th --NO EXCEPTIONS.  After returning the permission slip you will be placed on a team. Lacrosse will begin Tuesday, November 27th and will run through December 20th.  Games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:25-3:15 pm.  On game days please come down to the gym AFTER 3rd bell.

There is a new club at RMS for artists.  If you like to draw, paint with water color, or write fiction, meet others who do too! We meet every THURSDAY from 230-330 in Madame Hogan's room, Room 145 in the UA wing.

Artists of all abilities are welcome!  Bring your own art supplies, or some will be provided for you when you arrive. The late bus is available to give students a ride home. Please see Madame Hogan for details, or if you have any questions.

There is an Adventure Leaders meeting today at 9:20 in the gymnasium.

The next Read-In is tomorrow! The purpose of the READ-IN is to create a greater awareness of the importance of reading and promote the importance of reading for enjoyment as well as learning. Get your books from the Library today! Mrs. Sturtevant will not be open during the Read-In - she'll be reading!

There will be a meeting for members of National Junior Honor Society this Monday afternoon, November 19th, from 2:30 to 3:30.  If student members could offer some extra time, this would be more than welcome.  We will be doing an important job for the Thanksgiving Holiday that needs to be completed this Monday evening!  Mr. L looks forward to seeing you!

If any NJHS members are available to lend support for our Thanksgiving Project, it would be appreciated if you could give some time Thursday OR Friday from 2:30 to 3:30 also.  Thank you to ALL NJHS members for considering.

Reminder, RMS Wrestings first practice is tonight, 6pm a RMS. It is not too late to sign up.
