Classroom Guidance

East Rochester School classroom guidance lessons focus on a common theme every month but utilize different tools most appropriate for each grade level. The lessons combine developmentally appropriate children’s literature, class discussion, role play, games, and crafts into structured lessons that address important topics in the classroom. Children will often talk about what they learned during classroom guidance at home. Parents and guardians are highly encouraged to further discuss these topics with their children.

• A career lesson is added in for fifth grade and this year we will be piloting the Media Power Youth program to promote safe and healthy media choices in our fifth grade.
