  • Upcoming Clubs Available for 5th graders

    ORMS Chess Club

    What: Interested in learning how to play Chess? Then this is the club for you!

    When: Thursdays; starting Oct. 18

    Where: Room 128

    ORMS Sustainability Club 

    What: The Sustainability Club is going to work on many different projects throughout the year. Students will be able to choose the projects they want to work on. We may start a MS Trash-2-Treasure program, start a Trash Free Tuesday program, learn about re-using items, create a butterfly garden at our school, and more.  

     Where: ORMSin Mrs. O’Brien’s room (230)

     When: The first meeting  will be on Tuesday, September 19 from 3:15 to 4:15.  We will meet every Tuesday in September and October.

    ORMS Garden Club

    What: Help to keep our gardens going around the school.

    Where: Meet in Mr. Boucher's room

    When: Tuesday and Thursdays after school.

    ORMS Tennis Club

    What: Learn tennis stroke basics, footwork and movement, and match strategy. 

    Where: Meet at ORHS tennis courts 

    When: Mon and Wed after school beginning 9/11/17. 


    ORMS Bridge Club

    What:  Bridge Club is open to any student at Oyster River Middle School who wants to give the game a try.  You can begin the club at any age or grade.  Bridge is a card game that is not hard to learn and no prior experience with Bridge or any card game is expected.

    Where: ORMS library 

    When: Every Friday afternoon; the first meeting will be Friday September 22; ending at 4:30 (reminder that late bus doesn't run on Fridays)

    ORMS Musical Theatre

    What: Contact Sarah Kuhn with any questions sdeturk@orcsd.org

    Where: ORMS

    When: Wednesdays, after school until 4:15 for September.

    October and November it will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school until 4:15


    Field Hockey (5th-8th Grade girls)

    Where: ORMS Fields

    When: Try-outs:   Wednesday 9/6  3:15-4:15

                                 Thursday 9/7  4:15-5:30


    Cross Country (5th-8th Grade boys & girls)

    Where: ORMS

    When:Tuesday 9/5  3:15-4:15

              Thursday 9/7  3:15-4:15
