Who We Are

Richards School is the Newport School District's Elementary School, housing Grades K-5 and is also home to the Community Preschool at Richards. If you have any questions about programming or curriculum, please give us a call at (603) 863-3710.

Kindergarten Registration 

for the fall of 2017

If you have not stopped by 

Richards School, please do so as 

soon as possible.  You will want

to bring the following documents:

Birth Certificate


Proof of Residency

It is important that you call the office

at 863-3710 to make an appointment. We 

have Kindergarten Readiness Screening

for all new students on June 13th or 14th

so be sure to get your student registered

and signed up for the screening.

Community Preschool at Richards School

The Community Preschool at Richards FOR CHILDREN AGES 3-5 is an inclusive preschool program with tuition assessed on an income-based scale.

Save those box tops!  The Richards School PTO 
collects and submits these quarterly and receives money which goes back to support our teachers and students by purchasing playground equipment, helps to fund the annual Project Rabbit, Field Trips and much more. 

 Tiger Cafe 
 The Tiger Cafe @ Richards School is for students in grades 3, 4 & 5.  They meet Monday - Thursday 3:15-6:16 (they do not meet during Early Release days!).  Two days a week they concentrate on Math skills and the other two days on Language Arts. If interested please let your child's teacher know or call the front office to have a registration form sent home to sign your child up.
