School Start and End Times
High school, eighth-grade, and seventh-grade classes begin at 7:30 AM. Students are dismissed at 2:40 PM. Sixth-grade classes begin at 8:15 AM, and students are dismissed at 3:05 PM.
To report your child's absence or to dismiss him/her during the school day, please call the main office at 865-9658.
If students are only out for one day, we encourage them to rest, get better, and we will deal with the make-up upon their return. If the absence is for more than one day, the guidance office (865-9657) will gather homework for parents to pick up at their request.
Homework help is available at the Tiger Cafe from 3:00-4:30 in the media center Mondays through Thursdays.
Tutoring support for math and science is available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00-6:00, and support for English and social studies is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-6:00.
All grades are welcome to take advantage of these supports. Come get your homework done, get extra help, and use the school resources.
School Bus Guest Rider Protocol
In order for a student to ride a school bus home with a friend, the student must present a note to the front office from a parent/guardian which will only be accepted for that day. It must be dated for that day, signed by a parent/guardian, and include contact information in case of emergency. Front office staff will review and initial notes and keep copies on file with other daily notes. The guest student must then present the note to the bus driver.
