A little bit about Directed Study...

During Directed Studies students will be working on their own IEP goals and accomplishing homework from other classes. Weekly grade checks are done to assure that the students are doing their class work and handing it in. It is our expectation that students are writing down their homework so that they can refer back to it during study or at home.

A little bit about myself...

This will be my fifth year in the district and second year at Hollis Brookline High School. I graduated from Keene State College in 2011 with my bachelor’s in elementary education and sociology. In 2012 I became a certified special education teacher K- 12 from Keene State College.

Your child’s goals and objectives are priority for us to work together on through out this school year. It is important that we have a strong home-school communication. We’ll discuss your child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP), what’s happening in their classes, ways you can support your child’s learning at home and ways I can extend what you do at home in school.

I can be reached between the hours of 7:00 AM- 3:00 PM by email, amanda.coffey@sau41.org. I can also be reached by telephone at the high school, 603-465-2269 ext. 370, during the hours of 7:00 AM- 2:40 PM.
