Vision Statement: Language Arts

The stories we tell ourselves about our lives become the meaning we make of who we are.

In English Class we engage in:

• learning language

• learning about language by structuring it effectively

• learning the importance of precise language to say what we mean

• learning to play with language to make our message vivid, clear, and compelling 

These are all activities that enable individuals to acquire, use, and expand their knowledge, skills, and ideas

in order to become lifelong learners, critical and creative thinkers, and effective communicators.
