Be sure to catch the Keynote presentation from Frank Wolf at 2pm on Saturday, April 8th!

Wild Waters: Frank Wolf introduces us to his life as a long-distance wilderness tripper, followed by the first in-depth presentation of his recent 1800 km, 44-day expedition from La Ronge to Baker Lake.

Frank Wolf is a Canadian filmmaker, adventurer, writer and environmentalist. He's known for documenting wilderness expeditions around the world, with a focus on the Canadian North. His past six independent films have broadcast on the CBC and he's a feature writer and columnist for Explore Magazine.

Frank's boundary-pushing, world class expeditions advocate for the protection of the sensitive ecosystems he travels through. These journeys include canoeing across Canada in a single season, paddling across Scandinavia, and a recent 1800 km expedition from La Ronge to Baker Lake. He's been recognized as 'One of Canada's Top 100 Explorers' by Canadian Geographic Magazine, and was named one of Canada's Top Ten Adventurers by Explore Magazine.

Common Currents Paddling Association (CCPA) was formed in the fall of 2014 with the purpose of organizing events that bring paddlers together and to expand the paddling community. We are a group of Saskatchewan paddlers, urban and rural, who enjoy all means of paddle sports. We are a non-profit organization and work cooperatively with the paddling and outdoor industry community to celebrate, grow and support Saskatchewan paddling activities. The semi-annual Symposium is the CCPA’s main outreach activity to carry out this mission.
