San Diego County Engineering Council (SDCEC)

Get ready to celebrate just how "Engineers Invent Amazing" by attending the 2019 Engineer's Week San Diego Awards Banquet on Friday, February 22, 2019. The event is geared for all aspiring engineering students, advocates and engineers alike! Keynote speaker Kevin Hardy will present "San Diego's Astounding History of Exploration". So join in on the fun, meet local engineering society leaders and hear the amazing achievements of our local engineering heroes and award winners. The San Diego County Engineering Council (SDCEC) is pleased to announce: 

  • OPEN Nomination Period for Honor Awards - Everyone is encouraged to apply for, or nominate individuals for, Outstanding Engineer / K-12 Engineering Educator / Engineering Educator / Engineering Service / Leadership in Engineering. College students and professionals alike are encouraged to apply for Outstanding Engineering Project awards. 
  • OPEN Call for Raffle Prizes - We love giving away fun prizes through our raffle ticket drawing. To participate, send a note on your STEM related donations to
  • ANNIVERSARIES: 2019 ASHRAE San Diego 60th anniversary.

SDCEC Quarterly Council Meetings - The next meeting is:
  • Winter Council Mtg - Thursday, January 17, 2019. 
  • Agenda: Networking followed by two separate independent committee meetings: 
    • (1) Banquet Hospitality (all invited) by chair Bob Klug, 
    • (2) Awards Judging (committee members only) by chair Keith Glassman. (Volunteer to judge by contacting 
  • RSVP to to support food planning and to get onto the calendar. Social begins at 5:30, 6:00 introductions & society updates, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. committee meetings.

  • Representatives from each of the engineering societies  (president, liaison, or other leaders), engineering schools, and STEM non-profits are invited to attend. 
  • Meetings allow time for networking and an update from your organization that you would like to share with the group (a public networking or professional development event, outreach activities or volunteer needs).
