The learning of a foreign language exposes a person to new ideas and perspectives. It inaugurates tolerance and appreciation for the vast diversity of the world. It allows one to interact with another who may not share the same life experiences yet shares the same humanity. Learning a foreign language hones critical thinking skills through the comparing of one language's structure to another, challenging cultural prejudices and allowing for a greater and more extensive amount of information to be processed.
Both Spanish 1-2 and Spanish 3-4 are complete language courses that teach within the following domains: listening, speaking correctly, reading, writing correctly, and cultural understanding. Students will be expected to master each of these domains to successfully complete the class.
