Introduction

Hello, my name is Nicole Latuszek and I teach 6th grade mathematics and Accelerated Math 6. I have been teaching mathematics for the last 14 years with experience of two years at the 8th grade level and twelve at the 6th grade level. I received my Masters Degree in Math Education from San Diego State University in 2008. I have a passion for mathematics and love of teaching, so I feel very fortunate to be able to combine those two fields as a math teacher!
On a personal note, I am married with two daughters (17 and 9 years). I have two dogs and two cats. I like camping, hiking, backpacking, mountain biking and I am all about sustainability. My mantra is "Don't kill the polar bears!", which means do everything that you can to reduce, reuse and recycle in order to minimize your impact on the planet.

I have made many resources available on this web site. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with what is offered. I post the homework daily and the majority of my lessons are available in video format, please use the videos to review or keep up if absent. Students and parents can check grades on line via Parent Portal.

I believe it is very important for parents and teachers to work together to help their students achieve success, so please take a moment every once in a while to check in with me regarding your child's progress. E-mail is the best way to do this.
