Project Ideas During the Pandemic

SMASH Kits: Take home service kits to be picked up in campus ministry, room 602. Kits vary by season. Stop by the office to see whats available.

DIGITAL SERVICE

  • Help make google forms for our local elementary schools; email jeller@salpointe.org to request directions and access to the documents

Spiritual Works of Mercy (Click to Keep a log)

  • Instruction (digital help for family members, instruction, and education)

  • Comfort (showing support to those who are lonely during this time by making a phone call, writing emails, or letters)

  • Pray (rosaries, lectio divina, etc)

Solidarity

  • Cook a meal for your family or neighbor

  • Make surgical masks for hospitals in need

  • Happily do additional chores and projects at home

Join an Advocacy Club

  • Join Kino Teens, Crossing the Goal or Earth Club to advocate for justice

Steps to Completing 20 Hours of Service:

1. Complete Service Work that is in alignment with the Seven Social Justice Themes of the Church , corporal works of mercy or spiritual works of mercy.

2. Share your personalized URL with your service site supervisor ****(Check your email to access your personalized URL)

3. Complete Reflection in Spring theology class. The link for the reflection will be available early March.
