State Testing is over and the results are in.
JGEMS scores well, and most students have already been told their scores.  As a reminder students are scored in Mathematics, Language Arts and, in the 8th grade, Science.  These scores are on a 4 point scale. A 3 or 4 on any of these tests shows that the student is making sufficient progress towards graduating on time.  Students scoring a 1 or 2 might still be on track to graduate, however they could definitely benefit from some outside support. If your student falls into the 1 or 2 category, we encourage you to spend some time talking to your student about what they found difficult and develop some strategies this summer to increase their competency.
