Trimester Grade Information

3rStudents are assessed in media on a trimester basis.  The grades will be included with the students' general classroom report card.  Assessed skills will be addressed in 3 areas (circulation, literature, technology), with the specific skills for each trimester outlined at the appropriate time.  Assessments and rubrics are established for each trimester, based upon the lessons covered during that grading period.

The grading skill will be as follows:

1 =  Beginning level: Demonstrates beginning understanding; requires frequent assistance; willing to try

2 =  Developing level:  Understands behavior, concepts or skills; requires some guidance; completes tasks

3 =  Secure level: Understands, applies, and extends behavior, concepts, or skills; is proficient; demonstrates independent work habits; self-motivated
