Room 255

I’m excited to have recently joined the faculty of Salem High School to teach Geometry and Algebra, Functions, and Data Analysis (AFDA).  I have previously taught Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Pre Calcuus at a public high school in Central Texas.  I have a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Master of Science in Education from Old Dominion University.  I am retired from the United States Navy, having spent a career in service to our Nation as a Naval Flight Officer.

I look forward to getting to know all of my students as well as their parents.  Together as a team, I am confident that we will be successful in developing Salem High School’s young adults’ mathematical skills and in preparing them for adult life.

My philosophy and expectations on education and mathematics are simple:  Work Smarter Not Harder, Never Give Up, and Commit Yourself to a Lifetime of Learning.  While I expect that my classes and the subject matter will be challenging to some students, I am sure that my students will succeed by applying the necessary effort and maintaining the appropriate motivation.

Below are the calendars for my classes.   Additional information and resources are available to my students through Google Classroom.
