Meet Ms. Erickson

I am pleased to take this opportunity to introduce myself and welcome you and your child to The Kennel Club. My name is Julie Erickson and I am honored to share this exciting year with you and your child. I am dedicated to making this a challenging, productive, and terrific year for all my students.

I come from a long line of teachers and knew at a very young age that I wanted to teach. After graduating from Lord Botetourt High School in 1998, I attended the University of Virginia where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Teaching degree with certification in grades Pre-K through grade 6. I returned home to the Roanoke Valley in 2003 immediately after graduation from UVA and began teaching in Salem. I have taught 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd grades and spent more than a decade in 2nd grade so I am knowledgeable of the challenges facing a second grader.
