    Dear Parents,                                                                          May 21st, 2018

     

    RELIGION:

     

    We will be talking about Chapter 20, “Butterflies Are Good” in our God Loves Us religion book. The children will learn that spring brings forth new life. They will learn to compare the life cycle of a butterfly to Jesus’ death and Resurrection. They will also learn that the word “alleluia” means, “Praise the Lord!”

     

    LANGUAGE ARTS:

    This week the children will continue working on letters Yy and Qq. They will continue working on the sounds and printing the letters in the lines. They will also learn that u always follows q. We will review the high frequency words where and come.

     

    MATH:

    This week we will continue Chapter 11 “Measurement.”  We will be comparing length and height.  We will compare two objects and describe them using the words: shorter than, taller than, the same as, or taller than.  We will also compare the weight of two objects using the words:  heavier than, lighter than, or the same as. 

     

    LOOKING AHEAD:

    Tuesday, May 22ndDay 2

    K1 has Music and K2 has Art

     

     Wednesday, May 23rd…

    All School Mass at 8:15 a.m.; Early Dismissal at 1:50 p.m.

     

    Thursday, May 24th  ….Day 3

    Niabi Zoo Field Trip Day.

    ***Please make sure you send your child’s lunch and drink with them if they are bringing their own lunch.

    ***Students don not need to be in uniform, but please have them wear a yellow shirt. Thanks!

     

    Friday, May 25th  … Day 1 

    K1 has Art and K2 has Gym

    Dear Parents,                                                          May 14th, 2018

     

    RELIGION:

    We will start with Chapter 19: “Growing is Good.”  Students will be able to realize that human growth is a lifelong process and learn about the chrism.  They will also learn about the story of David’s anointing as king. 

     

    LANGUAGE ARTS:

    This week the children will be working on letters Yy and Qq. They will work on these letters for the next two weeks. They will be working on the sounds and printing the letters in the lines. They will also learn that u always follows q. We will review the high frequency words where and come. The take home paper book is Run, Tim. The children will also review verbs

     

    MATH:

    Spring Concert at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. 

    -      Please in the room between 5:30 and 5:40 p.m.

    -      Students should wear dress clothes to the evening performance…. NO JEANS!!!!
