Weekly Update

Kindergarten…Week of 10/15-10/19, 2018


I hope you are enjoying the weekend and the fall weather.   

-There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, October 29

-We are continuing to collect new socks during “Socktober” month. Socks will be collected until October 29. Those children who bring in socks will have a dress down day.

Below are our lessons for the week:

Math – This week in math we will count, read and write the #10. The children will learn how to make a group of 10.  

Reading- Our book this week is Dig Dig Digging.  We will be discussing vocabulary words such as scooping, swooshing, squelching, gobbling, spinning and rumbling. Our sight words this week are for, he, ran and with. The text based comprehension is classifying and categorizing.

Religion – We will further discuss what it means to be respectful and how we can respect ourselves and others. We will learn about St. Rose of Lima.

Handwriting – This week we will review letters previously learned in class. The children will also focus on forming all the letters properly in their names.
