2023-2024

Welcome back!  I am thrilled to have your child in my class.  I believe that by working together, we will make this a very successful, fun, and engaging school year.

First Day:  Please have your child wear some sort of name tag/sticker with class 1-2 written on it.  Please send in a snack and lunch.

Supplies:  Please ensure that all supplies are labeled with your child’s first and last name.  Clear contact paper should be kept home to cover workbooks.  The following items are for Mrs. Arena's art class, which begins the second semester of school and should be kept home until then: colored markers, Sharpie, pink eraser, and colored pencils.  Children will only be permitted to use crayons or Twistables to color during my class (no markers!).  At least 4 sharpened pencils with good erasers need to be brought in daily.  We do not have a sharpener in the classroom.  We will be using folders, glue, scissors, pencils, notebooks, and crayons this week.  All other supplies such as tissues, construction paper, dry erase items, copy paper, index cards, loose leaf rings, sanitizer, highlighter, and baby wipes are due by Monday, September 11th as well as the summer assignment packet.

Headphones are needed in addition to the above supplies.  Please send them in a labeled Ziploc bag.  No ear buds, please.

I will be collecting $10 cash for class dues.  Please send it in in a labeled envelope.

If you feel your child might need an extra pair of clothes to keep in school, please send it in a labeled Ziploc bag. (Not required)

Snack time:  Students have snack around 9:15am.  Please do not send in any glass containers.  Students will be permitted to drink from a water bottle/thermos during the school day, so you may want to provide an extra drink.

Gym: Gym Day is every Monday.

If you have any other concerns or questions prior to the first day of school, please feel free to email me.

See you soon!

Mrs. DeMarco

THANK YOU!
