Congratulations to all the students who were able to split the square up into less than 15 squares. Winners include third graders Enzo, Noah, Margot, Mala, Georgie, Hannah, Arielle, Jed, Noa, Aiden, 4th graders Anaka, Nikita, Joaquin, Sadie, Juju, Clementine, James, Max K., Max S., Isabelle, Graydon, Henry, Ben, and Lily, 7th graders Jane, Viv, AC, Declan, Tessa, Jonas, Una, Elias, Henry K., and Nicky B.
All of the above did the tessellations in 14 squares or less. Enzo, Hannah, Anaka, Viv, Jane, Henry K. and Nicky B. were able to do it with thirteen. Rumor has it that Paris of grade 9 found a way to tile the square with only twelve tiles!
