At the Bobcat Assembly on Wednesday our class won the Attendance Award! We will get a Wii Dance Party! It's the first time in the years that I have worked here that my class has won this award! Thank you so much for keeping your children healthy and sending them to school every day! I am so blessed with the class I have this year.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Thursday!

A few things for today...

We are all out of tissues again. The wind and allergies have killed our supply. If there is any way to pick some up on your next shopping trip, please do so.

It is starting to get hot out and it is important for the students to stay hydrated. If you want to send a water bottle in for your child, they can leave it here if they need to. Maybe they can bring one on Monday and take it home on Friday.

Happy 4th Quarter!!!

I hope everyone enjoyed their week of spring break! We are finally in the 4th quarter and the students are going to be working harder than ever. As the year progresses we get into harder and more complex standards that build off the previously taught standards. Please encourage your child to hang in there. We will get through this.
AIMS is coming up in just a few weeks. Please try not to schedule any appointments during AIMS week.

Monday folders will go out tomorrow. We had a hard time getting out the door today.

Some students will be bringing home their school work that they did not finish in class. They will have a note that they will need to fill out. This must be returned the very next day!

Language Arts: write for 10 min. (tonight's writing needs to be a reflection of what they read)
Math: study math facts for 10 min. (Test Thursday)

I'm not going to lie, out basket is not looking great. If you have already bought something, please send it in as soon as possible. So far Makaela and Brandon are guaranteed McDonald's Lunch including ice cream.

Congratulations to McKenzie our Bobcat of the Month. McKenzie is a super student. She has not had one ticket all year long. She is a hard worker and a good friend to others. Thank you for being such a wonderful student McKenzie!

Congratulations to Zach, who is our Most Improved Bobcat. When Zach came back from Christmas break, I thought he was a new student. His academics are climbed dramatically, especially in math. I am so proud of his hard work. Keep it up!

AR goals are due on Wednesday! We have about 14 students who have not yet made their goal. If the students are reading consistently for 30 minutes a night, making their AR goals should be pie. The AR Party is Friday!

Happy, Happy Monday!
We had a busy day today!
We spent a great deal of time making sure that the planners were written in correctly for the week.

Auction Basket
We are putting together a class basket that we are going to auction off to raise money for the school.
Our class theme is DISNEY!
Please bring in anything Disney. New items are preferable.
I need a volunteer that would be willing to call to see if we can get Disney on Ice Tickets or Tickets to Disney Land.
Gift Cards to the Disney Store would be a good idea. Look for items that would benefit a family. A coffee mug for Mom, slippers for Dad, etc.
Students will get a chance to receive prizes for each item they bring. More details to come.

Spelling: Study spelling words
Reading: Read for 30 minutes
Language Arts: Write for 10 minutes

Happy Friday! Testing is almost over. We have a few make up tests to go. I am so proud of the effort the students put into doing their best on the test. This will help me to which standards we need to go over before AIMS.
I hope everyone enjoyed a homework-less week.
Next week we are back to our regular schedule.
On Friday, February 14th we will be having a short period in the afternoon for students to exchange Valentine's Day cards. A list of students will go home in the Monday folders on Monday.
Progress reports are going home today. Please log onto World by Me to see specific assignments and talk to your child about any questions you may have. If you have further questions, please email me and I will address any questions as soon as I can, probably Monday.
