Social Studies

The Social Studies department at Saddle Brook High School/ Middle School is committed to helping students develop a civic responsibility as a well as a cultural appreciation.  Social Studies classes are mandatory from grades 7-11 and cover a variety of topics in US History and World History.

 

For the 2009-2010 school year the Social Studies department will be offering elective classes in Sociology and the newly created Advanced Placement European History.  In an effort to challenge our students, the Social Studies department remains committed to enhancing our curriculum.

 

With an emphasis on critical thinking, the Social Studies department will be emphasizing the use of primary source analysis from grades 7-11.
