Inside and Insight of Theater

The Drama Club over the years:

Drama club was instituted by the very first batch of IISER BS-MS program (2006 batch).

It made progress in its own right and went on to win the Stage Play competition in Oasis – Cultural Fest BITS Pilani in the year 2009. This bench-mark has been maintained over the years. Drama club has given regular performances in the Karavaan Showcase every year. 'Ummeed', an entirely first years' production was a huge success, too. Well, why won't it be? The 2014 batch nails it when it comes to acting! We didn't stop here. An enthralling, vibrant and realistic silent play was showcased during 'Sea Minor', a cultural festival at IISER-P that celebrated confluence of dance, drama and music. Ever seen mathematics being incorporated in an act? The π-day saw a blend of drama and the thrill of mathematics. And the list goes on...

In 2014, we performed out very first mime act inspired by the world famous Charlie Chaplin and our first Street Play to be out in the open.

The Dazzel of drama in IISER rolled over the cliff greatly after the introduction of competetions and frequent workshops being held every week. Alongside these ventures the Drama Club devloped the
