Welcome to Our Third Grade Class:

Hello, my name is Ms. Zeltinger.  The 2018-2019 school year is my 17th year teaching here at C.E. Jacobson Elementary.  C.E. Jacobson Elementary was the school that I attended as a child.  I have many fond memories of the educational experiences and opportunities that I was granted here from Kindergarten through 6th Grade.  I will be forever grateful to the countless teachers and staff members who had such a positive impact on me throughout my childhood.  I also feel extremely privileged to have had the opportunity to work alongside some of my former teachers.  It is my goal, as your child's teacher, to provide him/her with a safe and positive learning experience, just like I was granted so many years ago!

Third Grade is a special time in a child's life.  He/She will be learning many new things-academic skills, organizational skills, social skills, self-confidence, and responsibility.  In fact, the year a child spends in Third Grade will be one of the most important and valuable years in his/her development.

I strongly believe that parents/guardians play an important role in helping a child reach his/her full potential.  The involvement of parents/guardians in a child's learning experience will have much to do with how well that child succeeds in school and in later life.  By working together, parents and teachers can help a child to become the best person possible-socially, emotionally, and scholastically.
