posted Feb 6, 2018, 11:54 AM by Reid Harrison

Greetings! Last Friday, February 2nd, ALL members of the Biomedical Science Program (and some gracious chaperones) took a trip to LA to the California Science Center to see the Body Worlds Exhibit before it left the Museum! It was an amazing day; students were able to see the Space Shuttle Endeavor and learn about our country's history of space flight, take a tour of the incredible Body Worlds Exhibit in which REAL human specimens are displayed in unique ways to show the anatomy and physiology of the human body, and share a great experience together. Here is our group at the beginning of the day:

How Much Energy is in Food??

Students in Principles of Biomedical Science just complete an activity where we took various food samples, lit them on fire (using proper safety procedures, of course), and measured how it affected the temperature change of water. Check out this time lapse video of the lab! Video courtesy of Sophia Masut.
