Hello world! The R.T.M.S. Library Learning Commons is a work in progress. Some exciting changes are planned for the future however, right now I will introduce myself -  Mr.Schade. I am the new teacher-librarian. Ms. Shisko has moved on to the board office and we wish her well.
Please check back every now and then for updates here @ the Library Learning Commons. 

What: Forest of Reading at R.T.M.S.

When: Starts Monday, December 3rd, 2018 to Mid April 2019.

Who: Our Ruth Thompson Grade 5's to 8's who signed up.

Where: R.T.M.S. Library Learning Commons, at home, the public library, pretty much anywhere you can find a place to read!

Why: To enable children to have a voice in the writing and publication process of future great Canadian books.


Exciting upcoming events:

R.T.M.S. Library Learning Commons is proud to present the Freeze DNA Comic Art Tour on Monday, February 4th for grade 5 and 6 students. This coincides with Black Heritage Month observances. Students will participate in a graphic novel style character drawing workshop and have a chance to speak with Justin and Anthony Stanberry the successful heads of Freeze DNA Book Publishing. Joel A. Sutherland Forest of Reading, Silver Birch Award winner and author of Haunted Canada and many other great Canadian books will be visiting R.T.M.S. in March. More details to come. For more information click here.
