Digital Citizenship (From PDSB):

Students learn good digital citizenship

Students are going to live and work in a world where people use personal elecronic devices regularly. They need to learn to use technology safely, effectively, ethically and respectfully.
We want our students to be well-prepared to be successful in an evolving society. Fundamental to such success is the ability to use technology responsibly to gather, evaluate, construct and share knowledge in a 21st Century world. It is imperative that we support our students as 21st Century learners, as well as digital citizens.
We embrace the responsible use of personal devices, in keeping with school codes of conduct and the Peel District School Board's Policy #78 - Digital Citizenship. The Code of Conduct and academic integrity apply to the use of technology whether students access information from school or home.
The policy supports the principles and expectations of the board’s Policy #48 - Safe Schools Policy and the board’s character attributes—caring, respect, cooperation, honesty, responsibility, inclusion—to create positive climates for learning and working, and school Codes of Conduct.
