The Best Invention Ever

The best invention ever (in my opinion) is the internet. It gives you access to information on everything from the Presidential election to celebrity news. The internet educates people on things that they would never think to ask but want to know, like how many countries have McDonald's (119) or how fast a camel can go (12km/h). The internet may not be a "necessity" but it has improved lives in numerous ways. It allows you to reconnect with old friends on social media. It also helps you keep up to date with politics and current events. And it allows you to get information out to people quickly and easily. For example, you can send an email in 3 seconds vs. 3 days for mail. It streamlines many basic functions to make them simpler and faster, which can help us make advances in technology and medicine much quicker than we could in the past. It can keep the public more well informed, as well as making life easier and happier in general. The internet may not be as necessary or important as food and water, but it has become an important part of many lives.
