Same Love

Man, that's gay" gets dropped on the daily
We become so numb to what we're saying
A culture founded from oppression
Yet we don't have acceptance for 'em
Call each other faggots behind the keys of a message board
A word rooted in hate, yet our genre still ignores it
Gay is synonymous with the lesser
It's the same hate that's caused wars from religion
Gender to skin color, the complexion of your pigment
The same fight that led people to walk outs and sit ins
It's human rights for everybody, there is no difference!
Live on and be yourself
This paragraph of the song makes me feel really thankful that people don't call me those names and if the do they are just describing different people without them knowing who the actual person is inside. People might say things that they might not have meant to have said it. Just like how people call Justin Bieber a girl and that he sounds like one they might not know how he actually is inside and what they have done to be kind but yet people still make fun of him. Also, they would call him gay or transgendered because they think he looks like a girl and sounded like a girl when he was younger around sixteen years old, and they would call him gay for no reason at all because they have said whatever as bad they could so that was one of the come backs people would say. That was one example with a celebrity' and how I feel about the lyrics in this song.
