About Us

The Library is located on the first floor where Mrs. Lisa O'Brien serves as the full-time Library Educational Technician. Students in kindergarten through 3rd grade visit the Library throughout the school year to checkout books, share stories, learn age-appropriate literacy skills and engage in library activities. Mrs. O'Brien works closely with students to help them develop the skills they need to become self-sufficient in the Library. Her goal is to instill in students a love of learning and literature. Pre-K students visit for stories, finger-plays, poems and puppets.

The library collection currently includes more than 12,000 books to choose from of all genres, as well as magazines, audio books, ebooks, videos and reference materials and the Annette Whicher Professional Library for teachers and support staff. New books are added to the collection each year and are chosen for a variety of reasons including curriculum needs and appropriate award winners.
