Coding Workshop

A Day of Programming 
Portland, Maine October 21, 2017

 If you are a woman, and you are curious about learning to code, then we have good news for you! We are holding a one-day workshop for beginners! The workshop is free of charge, and women of all ages (14+) are encouraged to apply. Participants will learn about programming, web development, Python, and Django, and can make meaningful connections with friends and mentors who build software for a living.
 Note that we use an inclusive definition of “woman”, and we welcome everyone, including, but not limited to, trans women and non-binary people.
 It will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at CashStar in Portland for FREE!! 

Schedule of Events: 
Friday, October 20, 2017 - Install Night • 6:00 PM - Intro • 6:30 PM - Installation Starts • 8:30 PM - Done for the Night 
Saturday, October 21, 2017 - Workshop • 8:30 AM - Breakfast and Introductions • 9:00 AM - Workshop Starts • 10:30 AM - Morning Break • 12:30 PM - Lunch • 3:00 PM - Afternoon Break • 5:30 PM - Wrap-up

Consider Engineering Program

If any Juniors are interested in applying for the University of Maine's Consider Engineering program, you can apply online. The website is www.mainepulpaper.org.  Click on the Consider Engineering tab on the left hand side. There you will find information about this program, as well as directions to apply. Please see Mrs. Gardner if you need any help with this.
