Welcome to Bucksport Middle School where we are "Preparing for Opportunities." At Bucksport Middle School, our goal is to provide quality instruction to ensure that our students are readied for success in the future. We must partner together in their education to reach that objective.   • You're Invited- Family Night of Code December 5th! December 3-9 is International Computer Science Education Week! BMS is one of a growing number of schools that recognizes the importance of Computer Science, and offers it as a full curriculum to all of our students for the 4 years they attend BMS. We will be hosting a Family Coding Night on Wednesday, December 5 from 5:00-6:00 in the BMS library, to celebrate CS Education week! This event is open to all members of our RSU family regardless of grade level! Come code with us!

  • BMS to Cast Spring Play "Fairy Tale Courtroom" An informational meeting for the BMS Spring play, "Fairy Tale Courtroom" will be held on Tuesday, December 4th after school at 2:45pm in the auditorium. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, December 11th and Thursday, December 13th from 2:45pm to 4:00pm. Callbacks, should we need them, will be Tuesday, December 18th after school. We will hold our casting meeting and pass out scripts on Thursday, December 20th from 2:45pm to 4:00pm. Parents are encouraged to attend this meeting if possible.   • Friday Early Release Notice for Parents November 14, 2018Dear Parents,As we enter the time of year when we have an increased chance of delayed openings due to weather, I want to share with you an adjustment in our procedures should we have a delayed opening on a Friday.  If it is necessary to delay the opening of school we will adjust our dismissal time, from an early release schedule to our normal Monday through Thursday dismissal time [2:35pm at BMS].The reason for the adjustment is to ensure our students will have a minimum of a 4.5 hour school day and to avoid a full day cancellation if possible.  This will also keep the RSU 25 school calendar in alignment with the ...

  • Parent/Teacher Conferences Parent/teacher conferences are right around the corner and will be held this year on Monday, November 19th from 1:00-8:00pm and Tuesday, November 20th from 8:00-11:00am. Conferences are scheduled for fifteen minutes and parents will be meeting with all of the teachers on their child’s grade level team.  We can also include your child’s unified arts [“specials”], special education, other teachers, or administrators in the conference at your request.  To schedule a conference please call the main office at 469-6647.  If you are unable to make it on either of these days please let us know and we will find an alternate time to meet.
