Messalonskee High School offers three primary ways to access online classes.

VIRTUAL HIGH SCHOOL

The Virtual High School is a provider of online courses from every discipline. Courses are 100% online and run on a semester schedule. VHS Courses are for elective credit. Some are at a standard level, while others are honors and/or AP offerings.

If you are interested in signing up for a VHS class, please see your Guidance Counselor. There can often be a waiting list, so please see your counselor as soon as you are able.

AP4ALL
Online AP courses offered through the Maine Department of Education, beginning in September and ending in June. Courses are all taught by Maine teachers. There is a cap on enrollment, so please see your guidance counselor if you are interested in signing up. BYU Courses
BYU COURSES ARE PAID BY PARENT/GUARDIAN
BYU Independent Study is a nonprofit online educational program that offers more than 550 online courses-university, high school, middle school, and free noncredit courses—to students throughout the United States and in over 90 foreign countries. Enrollment is open to anyone, anytime of the year, with a full year to complete most courses. We are continually developing more courses in our portfolio, so it is important to check our online catalog for the most up-to-date course listing.
