Football Playoff Shirt Orders
The Rockridge Rockets Football Team has qualified for the 2017 IHSA Playoffs! The Rockets will learn their playoff opponent this Saturday night, October 21st, with a first round game date and time to be announced.  The Rockridge Boosters are now taking orders for Playoff Shirts. Click here for a hard copy order form. These orders are due in the RHS Office by Monday, October 23rd at noon. Orders can also be placed online by clicking here. Online orders must be placed by midnight on Sunday, October 22nd. Shirt orders will be distributed in the RHS Lobby on Thursday, October 26th from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. Support Rockridge Livestock Judging Team
Big River Resources is having a Cookout on Saturday, October 14 from 10 am -2 pm. Big River Resources is providign the meal and the Rockridge FFA Livestock Judging Team is serving.  Donations support the Rockridge FFA Livestock Judging Team.

RJHS Teacher Earns IRTAF Grant
The Illinois Retired Teachers Association Foundation (IRTAF) awards a total of $36,500 in grant money to several public school educators (Pre-K through 12) statewide. IRTAF is affiliated with the Illinois Retired Teachers Association, a lobbying group for retired educators, with a current membership of over 37,000. Congratulations to the Rockridge JH & HS Music Students listed below who were selected for ILMEA District Festivals based on auditions held at Geneseo on Saturday, September 30th. This is the first step in the process that HS Music Students go through to be considered for ILMEA All-State Bands & Choirs.

The ILMEA District Jazz Festival is Saturday, November 4th at Mendota High School, and the ILMEA All-District Music Festival is Saturday, November 11th at Augustana College.
Chris Bragg Honored as "Employee of the Year"  FBG Service Corporation announced that Christine Bragg, an employee of the company’s Quad Cities District, was honored as the Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI) Employee of the Year at the Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas last week.  Chris is the building custodian at Taylor Ridge Elementary School.  Click here to read the full story.

Bus Drivers Needed
Looking for work? The Rockridge School District is looking for full time and sub bus drivers. Drivers can work a few hours per day and still go golfing or shopping during the day. Full-time drivers only work 174 days per year and earn close to $10K/year. If you're interested in learning more, please call 309-793-8080.

VB Futures & Alumni Night - October 5th
The 2017 Rockridge Volleyball Team invites you to FUTURES & ALUMNI NIGHT on Thursday, October 5th when the Rockets take on the Fulton Steamers. Wear your Rockridge Gear and cheer on the Rockets!

All FUTURE (K-8) players need to check in by 5:45 pm. Each FUTURE player that signs up to attend will receive a ticket for a hot dog & pop as well as a poster of the varsity team. At the start of the JV game, the FUTURE players will have the opportunity to meet the varsity players, have their posters signed, and/or have their pictures taken with their favorite player(s). Each FUTURE player will also be announced prior to the start of the varsity match.

All ALUMNI plyers need to sign-up/check-in by 6:45 pm. ALUMNI players will be acknowledged at the start of the varsity match and will receive a bracelet.

Rockridge vs. Morrison - October 13th - to benefit the Pat Tillman Foundation
In conjunction with our football game being played in Clinton, IA at the Lumberkings Stadium on Friday, October 13th, the Morrison football staff has decided to use this as an opportunity to raise funds for a worthy cause. As educators our goal is to guide our student athletes to the next level. FFA Judging Team Fundraisers
Help support our Rockridge FFA LIvestock Judging team as they travel to Denver in January to represent Illinois at the National Western Roundup.  Members of the team are asking for donations of corn to help cover expenses.  If you are interested contact Mr. Hyett at (309)-791-7452 or any team member to make further arrangements.  Any and all donations are very much appreciated.  Team members are: Cole Whisman, Brittany Olson, Jake Bohnsack, Mia Freyermuth, & Eliza LIlliman.

Edgington Presbyterian Church Coat Drive
The Edgington Evangelical Presbyterian Church is again collecting gently used coats, hats, mittens, and scarves to help those in need in our community. Coats can be dropped off at the Edgington Evangelical Presbyterian Church or at any Rockridge School. All sizes are needed, but especially children’s sizes. Coats will be given October 28 from 8:30-11:00 am in conjunction with the food pantry distribution. If you have questions or would like to recommend someone to receive a coat, please contact the church office at 309-795-1713.
