The academy electives available at Round Rock High School give students a chance to think about and decide what they would like to do for a future career.  For some professions, it can take years to accumulate the education and training required to practice them.  Laying the ground work in high school for a profession in engineering, medicine, business, fine arts, or law allows students to meet their college and career goals faster.

The wall to wall academies provide:
  • A small learning community, comprising a group of students within the larger high school who take classes together, taught by a team of teachers from different discipline who work as a team to integrate curriculum and personalize instruction.
  • Partnerships with employers, the community, and local colleges, bringing resources from outside the high school to improve student motivation and achievement.
  • A well-rounded college preparatory curriculum with career themes, enabling students to see relationships among academic subjects and their application to a broad field of work.
